The BBC's 5Live had me on this morning (2a New York time!) to talk -- once again -- about the supposed contretemps about Google and taxes in the UK. My opener: This story is absurd. The scandal here is with the legislators and diplomats who need to do their job and reform their tax laws, not with companies that do what they are supposed to do -- and what every taxpayer does: minimize taxes.

As I crawled into bed, the BBC called and said the response was "amazing" and asked me to come back on at 3a New York time. I said let me sleep. As they should let this story sleep.
