Great read (nice spot David E. Anderson).
Whilst we should be wary of any centralisation of power/wealth, Google's record (outcomes, relative openness/transparency) to date makes them more trustworthy than any of their peers (tech, comms, media) & certainly more than our (lying, secretive, under-performing) governments.
