Great emergency service this morning #NHS #EmergencyServices #YorkshireAmbulanceService #FT
Earlier this morning I was on the scene just after an elderly lady took a tumble on the pavement in our village. She was OK (cuts & bruises, shaken up) and others were there first to help her.
I called 999 and asked for ambulance, the guy on the line was calm and asked good questions and gave good advice.
Two very calm and professional female paramedics arrived in a (proper) ambulance within about 10-12 minutes of my call whilst someone else had gone to fetch the lady's husband.
They very gently checked her over and took er off to the local A&E.
Not a nice thing when someone takes a fall but what a great response. We're a rural community here in (relatively) the middle of nowhere and maybe today we got lucky but I was impressed with the speed and efficiency of the service.
