I wrote this post on Tom Hanks' virtual typewriter.

Actor Tom Hanks shipped an iOS app yesterday called Hanx Writer. It's a writing app for iPad that simulates and old typewriter, with the visuals and typefaces and animations and, most of all, sounds -- for example, when you get to the end of a line, the app goes "ding!" and slides back to the other side of the page, one line down.

The app is free. You can add background colors for $2.99 or pay $4.99 for what they're calling the Writer's Block Bundle, which gives you multiple document support, text alignment, title page and picture support, ribbon colors and background colors. 

I can't wait to annoy my co-workers with this.
