Been playing Brad Mehldau's (@bradmehldau) double album Highway Rider this morning. I bought it back in 2010 and didn't really get into it much at the time - I think I was wanting more of his trio playing.

Been playing Brad Mehldau's (@bradmehldau) double album Highway Rider this morning. I bought it back in 2010 and didn't really get into it much at the time - I think I was wanting more of his trio playing.

Prompted by the news that he'll be performing it this Summer I've revisited it - and it is actually a very accomplished album with some strong playing by soloists and lovely arangements for the orchestra.
