Watched Spotlight last night. Great film making (story, cast, direction, screenplay) and that fairly rare thing of a mainstream movie telling a difficult story well, without sensationalising but making it engrossing and entertaining.

Question: given what we learned from the investigations of the original journalists and subsequent revelations - how is it there is still a functioning Catholic Church with regular attendees/"worshippers"?
